Was named head coach of the Victoria Royals (WHL) at the start of the 2012-13 season … Won WHL Coach of the Year following the 2013-14 season … Spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the Calgary Flames (NHL) from 2009-12 … Spent four seasons with the Calgary Hitmen (WHL) starting as an assistant coach for two seasons from 2005-07, then named associate coach in 2007-08 and head coach in 2008-09, guiding the team to the Central Division tite … In three seasons as a head coach in the WHL, has twice led his team to 100 point regular seasons … Played 1084 NHL games over 19 seasons with five NHL teams (Vancouver, St. Louis, Florida, San Jose and Calgary) … Was captain of the Flames from 2000-02 … Was named OHL first team all-star in 1984-85 while playing for the London Knights
